Topps' Collectors Kit is the hobby's sampler platter: six packs across sports, one exclusive pack you can't get anywhere else, and a starter set of supplies, all for $39.99. Wave 2 arrives Wednesday, October 28.
The Wave 2 box holds one pack of 2026 Topps Chrome Baseball, two of 2026 Topps Update Series Baseball, and three of 2026 Topps Flagship Football — plus the exclusive Collectors Kit pack, carrying foil cards of five MLB and five NFL names (Aaron Judge, Bobby Witt Jr. and Juan Soto from baseball; Fernando Mendoza, Carnell Tate and Josh Allen from football). The exclusive parallels run Gold /50, Black /10, and a 1/1 Foilfractor, with one limited parallel per exclusive pack. The supplies are real: 100 sleeves, 25 toploaders, a magnetic case and a binder — Topps pegs them at more than $25 of value on their own.
Basketball collectors already had their turn: Wave 1 back in March carried two packs of 2025-26 Topps Basketball and one of Topps Chrome Basketball, with NBA names in the exclusive foil set. Wave 1 sold out quickly at retail and promptly traded near double on the secondary market.
Our take: at $39.99 this is one of the fairest entry points in the hobby — a genuinely good gift for a new collector, which is exactly what it's designed to be. At $70–80 resale, you're paying for convenience, not cards. If you see it at retail Wednesday, that's the price it was meant to be bought at.
